• Deck refinishing process includes sanding using different grades of sandpaper.This method eliminates the old stain, smoothes the wood surface and does not cause splinters. Sanding allows the new stain sealer to penetrate deep in the wood.

• Pressure wash decks. This method gouges the wood and causes splinters. Pressure washing also doesn’t eliminate most of the old stain.The new stain sealer doesn’t penetrate deep
  in the wood and most stays on the surface.The result: stain will be tacky and it will deteriorate in short period of time.

• We apply wood treatment to Redwood, Cedar, Cumaru,and IPE. This eliminates most stain
  from tannic acid naturally occurring in the wood. Also it eliminates rusty spots caused by
  non-stainless nails or screws. Wood treatment removes any mill glaze which inhibits the
  wood from accepting the new stain.

• No wood treatment. Your deck will not be ready to accept new stain sealer.The product
  will end up staying on top of the surface and therefore will deteriorate very fast.

• We apply the best quality deck stain sealer on them market, which should last up to four
  years for redwood and up to eighteen months for IPE. This will protect and preserve the wood. There is no need for annual stain application.

• Some companies mix their own low quality stain, claiming there is no other good stain out there. Others use cheaper stain, the result, the stain sealer doesn’t last more than twelve months or so. Be aware about annual maintenance contracts, which will add up to the cost
  in the long run.

Our products are environmentally friendly (Acrylic resin) very low V.O.C. Most products on the market are oil base. Petroleum is used as an ingredient which results in strong smell and long drying time.
